First Call-Center Collective Agreement Signed

TIRANA, November 14

The Union of the Albanian Post and Telecom signed on Thursday the first collective bargaining agreement (CBA) in the call-center sector. This is an important achievement for the sector that provides jobs to a young workforce of over 30,000 people.

The collective bargaining also known as a collective agreement was signed by the Union of the Albanian Post and Telecom and Best Training & Consulting Company. This type of contract signed between the management of a company and its employees represented by an independent trade union guarantees better terms and conditions of employment.
The representative of the call center highlights that satisfied employees lead to satisfied customers.

On his part, the chair of the Union of the Albanian Post and Telecom Renato Mucaj pointed out the importance of the first CBA signed in the Albanian call-center sector. While thanking Together for Life organization and all those who contributed over two years, Mucaj added that the CBA not only improves the work relations between employers and employees, but it sets a new standard for all the other companies in the call center sector.

More specifically, the CBA regulates the dispositions of the Individual contracts. It clearly defines the rights and obligations of employees and guarantees protection from discrimination, equal treatment of employees, special protection for pregnant women, personal data protection, on-job training and qualifications, remunerations, health and safety in the workplace, performance assessment, trade union rights and the right to strike.
