TIRANA, December 10
Are you flying to or from Tirana to Italy this Friday? You need to check the status of your flight. Air transport union neighboring Italy warned a 24-hour strike on December 13th that might cause flight disruption, delays or cancelations from the evening of December 12th to the morning of December 14th.
Italian destinations account for the largest part of passenger volume and market served by airlines that fly from and to Tirana. With the launch of Milan-Tirana-Milan by easyJet on November 28th, the number of airlines that operate routes between Albania and Italy climbed to six.
Alitalia announced that the flights Tirana – Roma, and Roma – Tirana on December 13th were canceled.
Travelers can contact their airlines of the travel agencies where they have purchased the ticket before heading to the airport.
