TIRANA, May 11
The construction of Vlora Airport is expected to start soon. Vlora Airport will further develop the passengers’ influx and also help to reduce ticket prices and thus the travel cost for citizens traveling from and to Albania.
Prime Minister Edi Rama said while attending the General Assembly of the Albanian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday that the Airport and the new Albanian airline will soon be a reality. Turkish companies will invest in both projects.
“The construction of Vlora Airport and our airline will help have an impact on employment and economic growth. Vlora Airport will be a new important stimulus for economic growth while the new airline will be a long-awaited opportunity for the Albanian citizens,” the Premier said.
Trade exchange between Albania and Turkey increased by 10percent during 2017. On his part, the Turkish Ambassador to Tirana, Murat Ahmet Yoruk said that economic cooperation will continue in the future.
