“The latest measures in support of agriculture undertaken by the Albanian government relate to the welfare of thousand Albanian families which make their living by working in farms.” This is how Petrit Valisi, the head of parliamentary group of Socialist Movement for Integration, has greeted and praised the measures of the government to equalize VAT tax for agricultural products and to create other facilities for farmers. This move, according to economy experts, provides equal condition to farmers and stimulates agricultural products’ exports.
Vasili added that the current government inherited a subtle situation in this sector in 2013, regarding informality, the bad administration and non fair competition in the region. These and other aspects affected negatively in the exportation of agricultural products even in 2014.
Another measures taken by the government relate to the elimination of fiscal barriers for farmers, the reduction of costs of imputes and the revitalization of the fishing fleet and the reimbursement by 72 ALL for hydrocarbons.
