TIRANA, May 24
The area in front of the Pyramid will host a street festival all Friday long as Albania and Germany celebrate 30 years of successful partnership and achievements on the development of various sectors in our country.
2018 is the year that marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of development cooperation between Albania and Germany in 1988. The anniversary events to celebrate this occasion will be great options to further strengthen and develop the existing relationships and to deepen economic and cultural ties between Albania and Germany.
The German Support
“Employment that creates revenue, economic growth, safe and sustainable power supply and the construction of water and waste management infrastructures are key priorities of the cooperation development between Germany and Albania. Further on, Germany is active in the sectors of biodiversity, environment, and climate protection, on immigration consultancy and on the reintegration of returnees. German support since 1988 is estimated at Euro 1 billion and the country is one of the main and most important donators in Albania,” the Embassy’s press release points out.
The Street Festival
The German Embassy in Albania shares an invitation to celebrate the successful partnership and to attend the Street Festival that will be organized on Friday, May 25 in front of the Pyramid from 10:00 am till midnight. The festival aims at celebrating, informing, and entertaining the participants. The program includes a performance by the National Circus, an Eco Fashion Show, and live music by Peter Pan Quartet, 3:56am, and Asgje Sikur Dielli.
“A beer corner will take care for the participants’ culinary wellbeing,” the German Embassy guarantees in the official press release.
