TIRANA, July 4
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Lalzit Bay at 11:02 am on Wednesday causing people to flee buildings and offices in Durres and Tirana areas. A 4 magnitude aftershock with the epicenter in the Adriatic Sea followed. So far, only material damages have been reported. Durresi Prefect Roland Nasto said that that the roof of a house collapsed in Manza area while the walls of a supermarket in Durres cracked. Currently, specialists are evaluating the damages as the earthquake was felt in Tirana, Vlora, Shkodra, Elbasan, Fier, Lezha, Kavaja, etc. The phone network was down for 15 minutes.
