Many foreigners that live in Tirana capital met on December 15, in the framework of their monthly InterNations meeting. They are part of a group in the world known website InterNations.org, a website which connects foreigners that live in a certain country or town.
During the meeting, the attendants had the possibility to know and talk to each other, while drinking wine or beer. When answered about what’s the best thing about Albania, all of them responded the same: The people! Looks like the ‘rumors’ about Albanians being very friendly people and considering hospitality one of their most important values is true and still vivid. For all our readers, this will probably remind them about a La Republica article about Albanians, “The best thing of Albania, are the Albanians”.
We spoke to Denisa Kasa Bradley, the InterNations Albania ambassador, which shared with us briefly her experience on gathering every month foreigners that live in Tirana in such a nice event. Denisa has lived many years outside the country and now she returned to open her business, Tree House Lounge bar. Denisa is the InterNations ambassador to Albania along with Loren Skora, an American girl whose husband is Albanian and now they live in Tirana.
Denisa says that organizing these monthly meetings is an activity she does with pleasure since, in her opinion, foreigners that come to live in Albania need to get information for many things.
“It is hard to get the information you need here. InterNations is a very important organization that works worldwide to help foreigners. I have lived in other countries and after facing many difficulties as a foreigner there, I thought to give a help to foreigners that live in Albania. I am very glad if I can help them to connect with each-other.”
The attendants of the meetings come from different nationalities and professions. We met people from Spain, India, Romania, Norway, USA, UK, Canada, Morocco, France and Turkey. To become part of InterNations meetings you should become a member of InterNations Albania group at InterNations.org and every month you will be notified by an email for the date and the location of the meeting. We hope to see much more new faces in the upcoming months. Invest in Albania will be there capturing photos and providing information/help/support for anyone interested.
