The Weeks of German Culture in Albania also known as the German October will start on Saturday, September 30. This annual event is one of the most important of its kind in Albania and this year it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Germany. The official program of this edition of the German October was launched by the German Ambassador to Tirana, Susanna Schutz, and cultural attache Johannes Dietrich during a press conference held on Wednesday.
“Even this year we aim at achieving that Albanians and Germans get creative together, to experience together and to share those experiences, to work on a product and to build bridges, and in the best of cases to learn from each-other,” Ambassador Schutz said.
The program of the German October 2017 will span over seven weeks and it will include activates for all tastes from movie screenings, music concerts, ballet, workshops, and discussions. This is the 11th edition of the German October in Albania and it will focus on the exchange of experiences and ideas between Albanians and Germans.
