Flight Disruption Likely June 8 Due to Italian Air-Traffic Controllers Strike

TIRANA, June 7

The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) call on all passengers that will travel from Tirana International Airport to Italy tomorrow, June 8th to check the activity of the airlines given that the Italian air controllers union and the crews of some Italian airlines have planned to go on strike on Friday.
AAC informs that the strike is set to take place between 13:00 and 17:00 hours and consequently flights can be delayed or canceled by several Italian airlines that operate in Albania.

“For more information, please contact as soon as possible the airline or the agency where you purchased your ticket in order to confirm your flight itinerary,” AAC says.

In the meantime, AlItalia confirms that two flights respectively from Rome to Tirana and vice-versa were canceled.
