TIRANA, May 30
Over 100 Israeli tourists arrived on Wednesday’s morning at Tirana International Airport (TIA) with the first charter flight from Israel to Tirana for this tourist season. The next charter from IsrAir is expected next week, thus taking to four the number of weekly charter flights to TIA. The tourists were welcomed at the airport by Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi, who said that over 300 chartered flights will bring tourists from Israel and other European countries to Albania during this season.
“Over 300 charter flights will bring tourist from Israel, Scandinavia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, England, and Germany to Albania,” Klosi said.
Moreover, he added that new surprises will be unveiled during the tourist season.
In the meantime, the first Smile Albania info point was inaugurated together with Israeli tourists. Smile Albania info points will be inaugurated in every cross-border point throughout Albania.
“Over 1,000 young boys and girls will welcome visitors and inform them about all the tourist destinations and sites in Albania,” Klosi said.
