The Albanian economy will experience a progressive economic growth within the two upcoming years, according to a report published by Bank of Albania. The report says that the expected economic growth will equilibrate the economy and inflation and will make able the reach of objectives related to these aspects, within a medium –term period.
The economic growth in the two next years (2016, 2017) is predicted to increase the consumption and private investments while trade exchanges with other countries are expected to have a slight contribution to the economic increase.
As for Albanian exports, the report says exports will perform better, especially agriculture exports. In a latest press interview, the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti declared that one of the main objectives of the Ministry for 2016 is to find new markets for agriculture exports and the increase of the surface of farmed lands.
Bank of Albania’s report argues that during 2016 the economy will grow also due to the increase of state revenues and the decrease of public expenditures, an indicator that was recorded during the last months of 2015.
