Draft Law Predicts Businesses to Use Electronic Bills by 2021

TIRANA, July 25

Starting from 2021, the businesses in Albania will function with electronic bills, that will enable the creation of a circulation platform of economic transactions. This platform will make possible the intersection of information for the sales made, not only to customers but between businesses as well. The draft law which is prepared by the Ministry of Finance and Economy is expected to become part of public consultation during next month.

The new draft law for electronic bills will enable among others a more effective fight against informality. The electronic control of transactions is expected to make easier the discover of evasion, as well as to lower the need for direct inspections in the country.
