Bank of Albania announced that during the next week will purchase 12.6 billion ALL treasury bonds with 3 and 12 month maturity. The amount of money advertised for the sale of 3 month treasury bonds is 3 billion ALL and 9.6 billion ALL for 12 month treasury bonds.
In the last auction for the sale of treasury bonds, the weighted average maturity yield of 12 month bonds reached at 3.57%, while for the 3-month bonds the yield was 3.22%.
Treasury bonds market was very stable in the end of the past year, since the decrease of interest rate on deposits did not show direct negative effects. In December 12 month bonds emitted with a weighted average interest rate of 3.31%, while 6 month bonds emitted with a weighted average interest rate of 3.16%. Compared to 2013, bonds in last year emitted at lower interest rates.
