So far the investment in this project is Euro 289 million and it is expected that by the conclusion of the project it will be Euro 535 million. When the construction of both HPPs will end, it is expected that the power generated will cover about 17 percent of Albania’s need for electric power.
According to Banja HPP, as part of the Devoll Hydropower Project, will extensively contribute to renewable energy projects in Albania, best utilizing the potential of Devoll River Cascade. Banja HPP is owned and operated by the Norwegian company Statkraft AS, a leader in the European Market of Renewable Energy.
