The American Chamber of Commerce organized on Thursday on March 12, a conference on the framework of this institution’s experience and performance in Albania, entitled “Reflecting the past 15 years and the future of Human Resources”.
The panel was comprised by Ministry of Labor experts and members of the American Chamber of Commerce, which discussed on improving the Code of Labor and Social Insurances scheme in the country.
The discussions of the panel were focused in the current challenges that labor market faces nowadays, the increase of vocational education, which play an important role in the market and the role businesses should play in dealing with these issues.
President of the American Chamber of Commerce, Mark Crawford declared that this institution is considering new projects in developing further the human resources aspect, since American companies in Albania are always searching for high qualified staff in the technical framework. If we want economic increase, he added, we should open new vacancies and new businesses and for this it is highly needed a specialized staff. We want that foreign investors to focus in their business purposes and to not be distracted by other side problems as staff quality, for example, stated Crawford.
The conference of this private organization which was established 15 years ago with the aim to assist in the improvement of the business climate in Albania, was attended also by business representatives, which pointed out the increase of qualified workers in the labor market in Albania.
