The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed on Thursday that Albanian agricultural and agro-industrial exports during the first quarter of 2015 amounted to Lek 3.6 billion, i. e. Lek 0.4 billion more than the same period in 2014.
The Ministry of Agriculture informed that this sector has a positive performance and it was supported by the implementation of subsidiary programs. Neighboring countries, Kosovo, Macedonia, Italy, Greece and even Russia are the largest export markets. Based on the official figures issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, the value of imports during the first quarter has an estimated value of Lek 20.9 billion, about Lek 1.8 billion more compared to the first quarter of 2014.
