On Tuesday, the Albanian Association of Banks published the unaudited financial data for the third quarter 2015 of private banks that operate in the country and the aggregated data on the banking system for September. According to the report, the total of banks’ stocks reached the amount of ALL 1,325 billion by the end of September of this year, increasing by 4.1% in annual terms.
The capital adequacy report reached the level of 15.8% while the banking system remains liquid and stable, according to the Albanian Association of Banks’ report. The report also says that the total amount of deposits in the banking system reached the amount of ALL 1,090.3 billion by the end of September, increasing in quarterly terms by 1% and annual terms by 3.8%.
The deposits of individuals increased by ALL 17 billion compared amount of deposits by the end of 2014, while the deposits of businesses have increased continually in the past two years, due to the economic revival and the repayment of outstanding debts by the government.
