Albania Showcases Investment Potential in Dubai

TIRANA, April 4

Official authorities from the United Arab Emirates are considering the opportunity for starting a new direct route Dubai-Tirana. This fact was confirmed to the chair of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), Genti Beqiri, who is attending Dubai’s Annual Investment Meeting. Beqiri held a meeting with the undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy, Abdullah Al Saleh. Further on, they discussed possibilities of potential investments in infrastructure, energy and tourism by investors from UAE. Another meeting was held with the chair of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Faraj Nasib which was informed about the opportunities that Albania can offer to potential investors from Dubai.

Other meetings were held with representatives of major investment groups from the Middle East. This is the first time that Albania is participating in this forum that is attended by 140 states, senior officials and more than 15,000 international major investors. The participation of Albania in this event aims at attracting investments from UAE and the Middle East region.
