How did Albania Look like One Century Ago?

TIRANA, February 10
Here’s the Purger Postcard collection from Albania during 1914-1918. The 42 colored postcards depict images of Albanian cities and daily life in major cities like Shkodra, Tirana, Durres, Vlora, Kruja, etc. The collection spans back to one century ago through panoramic views of castles, rivers, and cites and moments from important activities such as the market day or men’s gatherings. The collection was made available to the public here with the kind assistance of Jochen Blanken from Hamburg. Here we share 28 of those postcards.
