Parliamentary Economy Commission ratified on Tuesday the agreement reached between Albania and Switzerland Confederation Center, a fund that will be used for the implementation of “Municipality’s Infrastructure Program II/IV”.
The program aims to ensure sustainable and financially affordable service for water supply, gathering and the treatment of waste waters for 400.000 citizens in Berat, Kucove, Gjirokaster, Kamez, Lushnje, Delvine and Librazhd cities. It also aims to improve water supply companies’ performance and indicators which operate in these cities.
The agreement (signed on November 7, 2014) foresees that this Swiss will contribute at the amount of 11.6 mln EUR. According to experts, this agreement meets priorities and objectives set by the government for the economic development of Albania.
