A one billion ALL investment in an agricultural enterprise established in Xarrë commune in Saranda. The project for this enterprise started a year ago as an electoral promise of the local deputy, Koco Kokëdhima. 14 shareholders signed their contracts in Himara in the presence of Mr. Kokedhima.
The amount of the investment will be paid 100% by the shareholders, 60% of which is owned by successful farmers of Xarrë commune and the 40% of the capital is owned by two well-known businessmen.
The shareholders have decided to invest more than 5 billions ALL in the five years to come in agriculture and it is expected this enterprise will employee more than 500 persons.
The focus of their investment will be the increase of the production of citrus fruits in ten times and also the improvement of standarts of Albanian bio products in order to increase the exports in the European market. This project will help Xarrë farmers in securing buyers to sell their products and to compete in the international market.
