World Bank announced on January 15 in a latest report on Albania, that the economic growth for 2014 was no more than 2.1%. The evaluation issued in bankβs report on the global economy perspective shows, according to WB that Albania has reached its goals set in the beginning of 2014 regarding the economic growth, despite bad the economic situation in Europe.
According to WB report, Albanian economy will make an improved positive performance even during 2015, and the economic growth is expected to be circa 3%, as predicted even by the Albanian government.
Positive data for the economic growth in Albania have been published in European Commission report on the development of candidate states for the EU, which show that Albanian economy increased by 3.3% in the third quarter of 2014 and for 2016 the economic growth is expected to be about 4%.
In global terms, the American economy is considered as the motor of the global economy, meanwhile economy in other developed states is not in its best days. Eurozone economy performed negatively in annual terms during 2014 and expectations for an economic revival during 2015 are low. World Bank report shows that Eurozone will have an economic growth at 1.1%, from 1.8% that it was predicted before. World Bank warns that Eurozone countries may face lond periods of low inflation.
