Italy remains one of the main trade and economic partners of Albania and now, the Italian clothing and footwear manufacturing industrialist have their association in the country
As of Thursday, the most important association representing Italian manufacturing and service companies has its ‘Confindustria Albania’ branch. Prime Minister Edi Rama considered the establishment of the Albanian clothing and footwear manufacturing industry as a good opportunity to foster economic cooperation between Albania and Italy. The latter is currently the most important trade partner of Albania.
According to PM Rama, the establishment of this branch will serve better in three different ways that include entrepreneurial culture, the knowledge that it conveys and the construction of new bridges between both countries that are going to bring more investments and Italian enterprises to Albania.
“I always put entrepreneurial culture first. What foreign companies bring is a growing entrepreneurial culture, but it needs to be consolidated,” PM Rama stated.
On the other hand, Ambassador of Italy to Tirana Alberto Cutillo highlighted what Italian investors need in order to increase their presence in Albania.
He said that investors that are looking for opportunities in countries like Albania, need a stable legal framework on investments. According to Ambassador Cutillo, this means that the laws on labour and trade have to meet the European standards, while the judiciary has to be efficient and transparent.
