TIRANA, November 12
The road to Llogara has been closed by police today (November 12) on both directions due to downed power pillars and fallen trees. The prefect of Vlora called on citizens to avoid driving through Llogara Pass as high winds can cause more downed trees and power lines. In any case, citizens are encouraged to call the emergency services.
Vlora-Brindisi ferry canceled for two days
As strong winds whip across much the Adriatic Sea, the Port of Vlora confirmed that Vlora – Brindisi St. Damian ferry sailing was canceled for the two days starting Monday due to high winds. The ferry line will is expected to start sailing on Wednesday, November 13 at 23:00 hours.
Moreover, the port of Vlora ordered that all small boats and fishing boats stay anchored at the Triporti area near Zvernec.
According to the weather service, boating conditions will further deteriorate on Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather conditions are expected to become more favorable on Wednesday late hours.
