Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected on Monday a new landfill established in Elbasan city, a certified waste management implant which will treat the wastes and produce electric energy. According to the Prime Minister, the Elbasan Landfill is a model that will be applied throughout the country, adding that “the government kept its promise by establishing a modern landfill in Elbasan city.”
Rama declared that the government is ready to establish similar landfills in other cities with the hope that the management and the treatment of wastes problem solves within a few years. Albania deserves to be a normal country in terms of waste management, knowing that the country has suffered for waste management in the past years, added Prime Minister Rama.
