Vlore Lungomare project’s final phase will commence in 15th September and is expected to finalize within August 2016, as announced by Vlora Municipality Mayor Dritan Leli. Vlora Lungomare is a project financed by the European Union for the construction of a 3.5 km promenade in the coastal city of Vlora, a complex of roads, parking lots, sidewalks and bike paths along the seashore.
In a meeting with representatives of “Intrakat” construction company which has been selected by the European Delegation to construct the promenade, the head of Vlora Municipality made a presentation of the project’s visual and technical elements. According to him, this project will change the panorama of Vlora city since it consists in the renovation of 4km roads and the construction of many parking lots.
Vlora Lungomare project will be implemented starting from Skela area to “Cold Water” area, one of the most populated parts of the city. The project includes the planting of decorative trees along the sidewalks, sport complexes for citizens and an alternated move of people who prefer to walk, cycle or ride with their vehicles.
At the meeting were also present local authorities and representatives from the EU Delegation. Vlora Mayor Dritan Leli declared that Vlora Municipality will provide all the necessary support for the implementation of this project.
