The University of Tirana awarded the “Doctor Honoris Causa” honorary title to Ahmet Çalik, the president of Çalık Holding company. Mr. Ahmet Çalık was awarded with the motivation “For special contribution and peerless insistence in the development of Albanian economy as well as for the evaluation and the continuous support of various universities in Albania. Çalık Holding company has been since many years an important investor company in Albania.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Sulo Hadëri, appreciated the contribution of Mr. Çalık’s investments over the years, as well as his companies’ corporate social responsibility, by saying that it is an honor and pleasure that Mr. Ahmet Çalık joins the list of personalities who have received the honorary title Doctor Honoris Causa, for special and significant contributions in the field of business in Albania and beyond.
Mr. Çalık, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the appreciation made by the University of Tirana by saying: “I feel honored and proud to be given this title. In all the investments we have made and continue to make, we as Çalık Holding are guided by the principle of bringing benefits to the society, by creating values in all the countries we operate. In this regard, our company is undertaking various projects of social responsibility.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Academic Senate of the University of Tirana, Albanian and foreign academics, the Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs. Lindita Nikolla, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Albania, journalists and business people.
