TIRANA, October 3
As of May 10, 2017, Transavia, Air France KLM’s group low-cost carrier, will launch Tirana-Amsterdam route. According to the airline’s official website, Tirana will be connected to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. A one-way ticket will cost Euro 39 while a round trip ticket will cost Euro 78. The company has foreseen two flights per week respectively on Wednesday and Friday.
On April 1, 2016, the Albanian government and Tirana International Airport (TIA) signed an important agreement that paves the way to the liberalization of air transport and international flights.
According to the joint agreement, TIA’s concession was extended for two years in order to open Kuksi airport for international flights. This will be the first airline to provide low-cost flights to Tirana International Airport.
