Albania has a major number of people employed in the tourism sector. The country ranks third in the world regarding the number of people working in the tourism industry. According to the data provided by the World Travel and Tourism Council, WTTC, 24percent (one out of four people) of jobs in Albania are offered by the tourism sector.

βAlbania was isolated from the world for 50 years and yet it cannot be considered a high profile tourist destination. But tourists are attracted by the overlooked places mainly in the Albanian Riviera and Alps,β WTTC said.
Moreover, the report says that entrepreneurship in this sector has been blooming. This means that authenticity is the strongest point of the tourism sector in Albania.
