TIRANA, December 21
The Albanian capital ranks third in the ranking of the least expensive European capitals for end-of-year holidays. This is one of the findings of the latest survey conducted by Travelmyth, one of the biggest travel and hotel search engines. The ranking is based on the cost of hotels. Based on the data, only Skopje and Yerevan are cheaper than Tirana.
Hence, compared to the region, Tirana is an optimal destination for the end-of-year vacations, compared to the other 48 capital cities. Meanwhile, Sarajevo, Podgorica, Belgrade and Zagreb are more expensive. The average price per night in a hotel in Tirana is Euro 47 while in Skopje it is Euro 37. The most expensive European capital city during the end of year vacations is the Icelandic city of Reykjavik. The average price per night in Reykjavik is Euro 330. The list continues with London, Paris, Rome and Amsterdam.
