On behalf of his official visit to Hong Kong, the Prime Minister Edi Rama defined the priority sectors of the Albanian economy for investments. “We are focused in sectors that boost the economic growth and which require foreign investments as the energy sector, oil and minerals, tourism, agriculture and manufacturing as a sector of high importance for Albania these days,” declared Rama.
According to him, the government is making efforts in increasing the foreign direct investments, since if an investing company invests in Albania, it is investing in a larger market, in the Southeast Europe market. Rama added that making Albania an attractive country for investments is one of the government’s goals.
Foreign investments play an important role in country’s economy. The government has reduced several procedures and bureaucracies for foreign investors, in order to attract them to invest in Albania. The new tourism law defines the facilities the government will provide for strategic foreign investors which chose Albania to invest in the tourism sector.
