Minister of Economic Development, Trade, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Arben Ahmetaj announced in a press conference the cancellation of fines of subjects that have failed to declare the social and health contributions, evidenced on December 31st, 2014.
Ahmeta declared: “Today the Council of Ministers has approved the draft law on the cancellation of fines for the nonpayment of social and health insurance obligatory contributions by physical and judiciary subjects. 80% of a non paid fine generated as a consequence of subjects’ failure to file the tax liability for the obligatory contribution of social and health insurances, will be canceled if the subject pays the remained part of the fine until April 30 of this year. “
There are 59.411 subjects that will benefit from this law, added Ahmetaj at the press conference. This facility that the government is providing for the Albanian citizens comes at the same time as a direct signal for the obligation and the necessity our economy has for a further and complete formalization.
