The Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti held a meeting with farmers and breeders of Drashovica village in Vlora, vowing that the annual funds for the agriculture sector will reach the value of EUR 100 ml within two years from the current fund of EUR 12 ml.
According to the Minister, the villages of Vlora county have enormous resources for the development of the animal husbandry, still not developed in the needed levels.
Currently, the agriculture sector is performing very well, given that we have commenced to export tomatoes even in Macedonia, although the country itself is a tomato producer. “Our farmers are now exporting their agricultural products in 20 European countries,” declared Panariti.
In addition, the Minister said that the funds dedicated to the agriculture sector are directly distributed to farmers with the purpose to develop and expand the agricultural production and not to save farmers from bankruptcy. “We are focused in investing in warehouses and in milk processing dairies,” according to him.
