The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has published a report regarding the perspective of the regional economy, according to which the GDP of Albania will increase by 2.5% for 2015.
“The macroeconomic performance of Albania has improved due to the reached agreement with the IMF in the beginning of 2015. However, the massive flooding that hit the southern Albania on January of this year has had a negative effect in the economic growth. Also, the outstanding loans and the negative effects that come from the Greek crisis pose risks to the country’s economy. The economic perspective of the EBRD for Albania foresees that the GDP will increase in 2016,” is stated in the report.
For the next year, the GDP will increase by 3%, says the report of the EBRD. The international financial institution did not change its previous evaluation on Albania’s economic growth.
