Bank of Albania has issued a latest report on the Balance of Payments for 2015, according to which during the period of January – September of 2015 foreign companies that operate in the country have transferred EUR 153 million outside of Albania.
Compared to the amounts of money transferred outside of Albania during the same period of 2014, the money transferred during 2015 increased by 8%. These amounts of money have mainly been transferred in the form of dividends and as a reinvested profit.
As cited in Investopia, “the Balance of Payments, also known as balance of international payments, encompasses all transactions between a country’s residents and its nonresidents involving goods, services and income; financial claims on and liabilities to the rest of the world; and transfers such as gifts.”
Speaking in quarterly terms, during January – September 2015 period the flux of money transferred outside the country increased during the first two quarters and recorded a slight decrease in the third quarter.
