A report published by the Bank of Albania shows that the activity of non bank financial institutions increased by 6.3% in annual terms, or by ALL 38.9 billion. This has been affected by the entering in the market of two new financial institutions and the support banks have shown towards such activity by loans. Loans for this sector increased to ALL 19.9 billion during 2015.
The financial situation of these institutions is positive and continues to increase compared to a year ago, as a consequence of the increase of incomes from interests and commissions, says the report.
However, one of the higher risks of these institutions is the nonperforming loans, although the report between nonperforming loans and the total of loans improved during the second quarter of this year, after the decrease of the level of nonperforming loans.
