TIRANA, May 2
A few days from the start of the new tourist season, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved ten new airline routes and doubled capacity for three existing air routes. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, these routes will operate during the summer season.
Therefore the new routes include flights from Tirana to Helsinki, Copenhagen, Moscow, Stockholm, Oslo, Warsaw, Tel-Aviv, Goteborg, Gdansk, Poznan, Prague, Katowice, etc.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the new routes will have a significant impact on the number of tourist arrivals to Albania. The increased number of air-traffic passengers travelling to or from Albania is the reason why the Albanian government aims at constructing a new Airport in Vlora and start operating Kuksi Airport.
