TIRANA, July 3
The National Tourism Agency and the National Coastal Agency have created a beach monitoring task force from Velipoja to Ksamil. Based on the experience over the past year, the task force drafted a list of requirements that tourist subjects didn’t meet. Moreover, it will make sure that all these requirements will be fulfilled during this season.
Significant improvement was made during the first days. Private subjects received all the necessary information from local power institutions and raised awareness to introduce new measures and improving conditions during the summer season.
It seems that stakeholders took the measures to address problems related to the tourism sector following the joint roundtable gathered by the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship.
The first stage of the task force action focused on beaches hygiene and on the standards provided by accommodation facilities. The second stage of the action will continue during the first days of August. The task force will supervise the enforcement of the criteria defined by the respective decision issued by the Council of Ministers.
