Albanian Assembly Speaker, Ilir Meta and Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Aliyev, held a meeting about the latest projects and investments by IAP and TAP projects. They shared the same opinion about the importance of TAP project for Albania, stressing that this will transform the country into a destination of Azerbaijani investors in several fields.
Meta praised the friendly relations between the two countries as very strategic for the successful implementation of TAP project in Albania and expressed Albania’s Assembly support to strengthen the collaboration between Albania and Azerbaijani. The mutual cooperation in the ministerial level regarding gasification projects will give Albania huge development potentials and other regional countries as well, said Meta.
In turn, the Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy stated that the active cooperation between the two countries is deepening day by day. According to him, TAP project will enable respective countries to create strong cooperation ties, in order to contribute in the strengthening of energy security in Albania and all over Europe.
Present in the meeting were also the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khalaf Khalafov and the President of state owned oil company SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev. They stressed the important outcomes Azerbaijani investments would have in Albania and for that Albanian Assembly Speaker offered his total support.
