The Ministry of Economic Development will launch a new supporting package for the plastic industry in the country where more than 200 businesses operate in the country. The supporting package for the garment industry has resulted effective since in the last six months in this sector were employed about 2000 employees. “May has been a spectacular month in regard to exports in general, not only for shoes and textiles,” declared the Minister of Economic Development, Arben Ahmetaj.
Official sources say that the supporting packages now will be focused in boosting the closed circle production of Made in Albania products with the aim to reduce the production with ordered material.
According to Ahmetaj, this successful package relates also to the new economic model implemented in the last 18 months. During this time Albania has increased the level of exports for products which are produced in the country, as well as the level of mining and oil exports. This increase has been reflected also in the increase of machinery imports by fabrics in manufacturing sector, mechanic sector and agriculture.
18 months ago the government announced the implementation of a 32 measures’ package, 28 of which are already implemented. The compilation of such supporting packages for the agricultural sector, garment industry and tourism will increase significantly exports.
