The global initiative Startup Grind is now present in Albania, thanks to the initiator Endri Mataj, a successful Albanian entrepreneur in the ICT field. Startup Grind is a monthly activity which offers to participants the opportunity to hear the successful stories of invited personalities, successful entrepreneurs that share their experience with the public.
The third activity of this event held on November 13, at ProTik Center headquarters. The invited personality this time was Alejtin Berisha, a successful businessman from Kosovo, co-founder of izisurvey.com, an offline survey platform.
“Everything started when I was 15 years old. Along with my friends, I created a recycling company at a time when Kosovo had just emerged from 1998-1999 war and the country was destroyed. So we created this company to help people in need to gain money by selling us used cans. This was the first startup created by me. A few months after we had opened it, we sold this startup to another entrepreneur, which nowadays has transformed it into a lucrative business.”
Alejtin Berisha is a known lecturer that continually shares his stories of success and experiences in important in-country and international events, hosted by known organizations and universities. Lately, Mr. Berisha has created KOSBAN (Kosovo Business Angels Network), in collaboration to many successful Kosovar businessmen, which finance potential ideas and new startups, in order to transform them to successful businesses in the future.
This activity is very important to people who have an idea but are not able to finance and transform it into a business. The event gives people the chance to meet with known businessmen, to exchange experiences and learn from others.
