Prime Minister Edi Rama held a visit in Lushnja city and inspected two important investments which have been financially supported by the Agency for Rural Development. During his visit, Rama announced that farmers will have the opportunity to apply for soft loans in a new financing scheme, through a fund provided by the EBRD.
According to the Prime Minister, the Guarantee Fund worth EUR 300 ml will be available for farmers starting from the beginning of the upcoming year and will be extended in the three upcoming years. Who can apply for soft loans? Farmers and entrepreneurs who work in the agriculture and agro processing sectors. These loans will be provided by second tier banks and the Agency for Rural Development will serve as a warrantor.
Speaking about this scheme, the head of the Agency for Rural Development Suela Popa declared that βfarmers and entrepreneurs in the agriculture field are being supported with grant and soft loans.β
