TIRANA, September 7
The promotion of Albania as a tourist destination will be supported by Slovenian authorities.
Albanian Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship Milva Ekonomi declared this after a meeting she held with her Slovenian counterpart Zdravko Pocivalsek.
Ekonomi noted that the legal framework of economic cooperation between both countries has spread to several sectors.
“I highlighted that the understanding memorandum signed by AIDA and SPIRIT in June 2014 is one of the instruments that can stimulate exchange and increase investments between Albania and Slovenia,” Ekonomi stated.
Further on, she added that the presence of Slovenian businesses in Albania can be stimulated through the organization of more business to business (B2B) meetings and other activities between commerce chambers.
The minister also highlighted that the presentation of Visit Albania by the National Tourism Agency in Ljubljana in May helped to share more information regarding Albania to Slovenian tourism agencies and tour operators.
On his part, Minister Pocivalsek expressed his commitment to support the promotion of Albania as a tourist destination through the ministry that he heads.
