Six are the winning Albanian companies that will benefit from the Fund on Competitiveness and Creativity. The Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) unveiled the names of the winners, three for each fund.
The fund on Competitiveness, which provides direct financial support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Two companies from Tirana and one from Shkodra will benefit a maximum fund of Lek 1,400,000 each.
The purpose of this initiative is to help Albanian companies to enter international markets and promote ‘Made in Albania’ products. They get the necessary financial support for implementing their business plans.
About 50 percent of the fund is allocated in the beginning and the other part later. It helps in several aspects such as consulting, ISO certifications, promotion, participation in international fairs, staff trainings, etc. Enterprises must have at least two years in the market and a positive balance sheet.
In the meantime, one company from Tirana, one from Durres and one from Shkodra won the fund of creativity, also known as the artisanship fund. The maximum fund that they may benefit is Lek 500,000.
