In a press conference, the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that country’s economy will grow continually in the upcoming years, based in last year’s performance. As for the Western Balkan Summit in Vienna, the Primer declared that the participating countries have already approved several major projects. In addition, these projects will be beneficiary in economic and political aspects now only for Albania but for the entire region of Balkan.
Rama also announced that starting from September 1st the government will fight informality in the market by controlling each trade subject that operates in Albania, considering this as the most important action taken by the current government so far. The fight against informality will be an alliance with businesses and is being undertaken to protect the customers, declared Rama.
Since it took power in 2013, the current government has undertaken several reforms and actions to fight the fiscal evasion and tax fraud such as the reforms in the energy and hydrocarbons sector. The current action against informality and tax fraud by private enterprises will be followed by the reform for the potable water, in order to ensure that no citizen will avoid paying the water supply tax.
