TIRANA, December 21
A new opportunity has arisen for all the Albanian students over the age of 18 with German language skills that want to land a summer seasonal job in Germany during 2018. DIMAK Albania or the German Info Center on Migration, Vocational Education and Career, informed through its Facebook page that it will launch its informing campaign on seasonal employment in Germany for students in several cities throughout Albania. The first event will take place in Tirana, today, December 21 at 15:00 hours at the premises of the Youth Center of Tirana.
The program will be implemented by the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit). DIMAK informs that given the fact that this is an opportunity for a summer job and the permitted stay time in the contract is 90 days, it will not be necessary that the qualified students apply for a visa at the German Embassy in Albania. However, DIMAK highlights that it is important for them to not have overstayed the indicated time period of days of stay permitted in a tourist visa.
DIMAK highlights that the German language skills are the main criterion for the employers to shortlist applicants. Moreover, the necessary documents for application are:
- The application form
- Confirmation of student status
- A driving license, not mandatory
DIMAK conforms that German employers will contact the applicants directly after they submit the necessary documents. Short-listed applicants are selected by the German side or employment agencies and not by DIMAK. Applicants will receive an answer on their application during April-June 2018.
More information on the documents of application and details on the local informing events will be provided by DIMAK through its Facebook page during the upcoming days.

Seasonal jobs provide students with benefits that are greater than the amount they’ll get in the paycheck. They gain important experience during their time of school and this helps them to look impressive in the eye of possible employers when school is over. Besides skills gain, seasonal jobs abroad can also be considered a cultural exchange.
