TIRANA, December 7
The number of polish tourists that visited Albanian during January-October 2017 increased by 74 percent, Prime Minister Edi Rama said during a media conference with his Polish counterpart Beata Szydlo. Thus, Rama said that he asked Premier Szydlo to encourage Polish airlines in order to take into consideration a new direct route between Albania and Poland.
Rama highlighted that there’s a major potential for the development of economic relationships between both countries.
“I asked Prime Minister Szydlo to encourage polish airlines of the establishment of a direct route. We have also discussed the PM’s proposals on Tirana conference,” Rama said.
On her part, the Polish Premier said that their discussions focused on the Polish-Albanian business forum and cooperation in the tourism sector.
She said that Albania is a favorite destination of Polish tourists thus tourism is a cooperation sector of mutual interest for both countries.
