The Electricity Power Distribution Operator (OSHEE) will not ask for an increase of the electricity price for households and businesses during 2017.
βOSHEE has not submitted an application for price increase even though the need for liquidity and investments is huge. In order to meet the functions of the power supplier, there will be no increase in the retail electricity supply price,β chairman for the electricity market Elton Sevrani said.
Currently, the electricity price for households is Lek 9.5 per kWh. Meanwhile, businesses that have a demand of 35kW since January 2017 will purchase it in the private electricity market. Moreover, even businesses that have a demand of 20 and 6 kW will also buy in the deregulated market.
