The Minister for Innovation, Milena Harito announced the government is compiling a law to provide regulations for the online market. The law comes as a necessity to increase the security for online economic transactions Albanian citizens make and to simplify the online services offered by the government in order to make them easier to use by citizens.
This comes as a government’s effort to improve the public service of state institutions and to reduce bureaucracies in this regard. One of the novelties the government presented lately was the launch of the online governmental stamp which reduces costs and time for Albanian citizens.
According to the Minister for Innovation, these are changes that do not have monetary costs for the state budget and the laws will be applied based on the scheme Italy applied in 2005. A set of rules and laws for online trade and actions is necessary because more and more Albanian young adults are using internet as a source of incomes.
