TIRANA, February 22
Korca by Bike is the latest tourism project that is being implemented in the southeastern city of Korca. The city and the surrounding region is known for its natural beauty and high tourism potential. Therefore, the new cycling network which will consist of 19 itineraries will help to promote sustainable tourism and environment protection. The project is estimated to cost Lek 1,962,302 and it is funded by the Ministry of Economy. The progress of the project was monitored on Tuesday by Minister of Economy Milva Ekonomi and the Prefect of Korca Ardit Konomi.
The cycling trails run through Korca city and the surrounding villages. Meanwhile, a mobile app on the biking routes is being developed. It will provide tourists and visitors with all the necessary information about each of the routes. Prefect Konomi said that cycling trails are the most attracting alternatives that the city can offer to its visitors and residents. Thank to these routes, tourists can explore the magnificent varied landscapes around the city and places like Voskopoja, Dardha, Vithkuq and Prespa National Park.
